From past columns in this blog, you may have gathered that I am always searching for experiences that stimulate artistic creativity. Sometimes the freedom and playful creativity in my artist’s life are challenged by the pressures and deadlines of practical living and my graphic design business.
Friday night I attended an Art Walk in Gainesville, Florida. One of the very first stops on the Art Walk was the Repurpose Project. What a joy! I’d visited the Repurpose Project in 2012. This time I was offered an opportunity to participate in a project. I added feathers and silk leaves to an architectural model to create fanciful trees. After a deadline-driven, pressure-filled week. This judgement-free exercise was exactly what I needed to restore my artistic soul!
